ERP Update Intern

Support critical infrastructure emergency preparedness as an Emergency Planning Intern with the Public Water Agencies Group (PWAG).

This paid, part-time position offers hands-on experience updating Emergency Response Plans for up to 12 water utilities across Los Angeles County, in compliance with America’s Water Infrastructure Act.

Working remotely with our Emergency Management Coordinator, you'll gain invaluable experience in disaster preparedness, risk assessment, and emergency management while contributing to the resilience of water systems that serve hundreds of thousands of residents. This 6-month internship (up to 19 hours/week) is perfect for current students, recent graduates, or professionals seeking to build expertise in emergency management.

Recent retirees are also welcome; offer the benefit of your training and experience to water districts seeking to improve their preparedness posture.  We’ll use industry-standard planning protocols, leverage or develop technical writing skills, and work directly with water utility professionals while helping protect one of our most vital infrastructure systems. Equipment provided, flexible schedule, and the opportunity to make a real impact on community safety and water security.
